![]() And once I retire this char I will certainly start from the top and post those as well. Originally posted by catcol.mov:Ah I didn't realize this was for the xpac. I should also mention this is on the Adventurer difficulty, which is to say the "normal" difficulty. The "better odds at deeper levels" I suspect only applies to how nice the legendaries are, not the rate at which they drop. I will continue to update the above post with batches of 100 from various levels, but I suspect the results will be largely the same. We all know this game is RNG heavy, but in batches of 100 a pattern should emerge regardless, and in the three times I've done this, that pattern has been consistent: 1/3 whiffs 2/3 petty gems/fish/unenchanted jewelry and I'd say about a 1/20 chance for a legendary. With 300% MORE chance (my previous batches I had roughly 30% chance in items) I actually got LESS legendaries. ![]() The conclusion is pretty obvious tbh: the chance to find magical items does not apply to fishing. I fished at level 28, 100 casts and here was the totals: The total additional chance to find magical items was +330%. I obtained peronto's cheeshead of the emerald bay (75%+ chance to find magical items) and had every piece of gear with sockets that I filled with superior zircons (15%+ chance to find magical items each), some of the gear pieces had intrinsic chance themselves. So I decided to do an experiment just to be sure. Eventually I plan on just posting this in its' own discussion thread to make it easier for people to find it. I will continue to update this chart and fill in more levels and more data to improve accuracy. This equates to the following averages (greater than 97% certainty based on the sample size, under the assumption that the rates are fixed regardless of level as a quick glance over the numbers would indicate) Note* This is all on Adventerer difficulty I am not including the %chance to drop magical items since, as others have mentioned and I have noticed this too, it doesn't really seem to affect drop chances for fishing. I am recording whiffs (number of times a bite yields nothing- this is rng whiffs not whiffs due to player error), catches (everything that is not a legendary item, this includes rings/gems although I include legendary gems as legendary), and legendary catches (including gems). I have been meticulously recording fishing results in batches of 100. I'm going to make a record here for posterities' sake. So please, experts, what do you think of fishing being improved (catching expensive items) while your character(s) wear gear equipped with some chance to find magical item stats? Instead of try and figure this out in the long run, I was hoping the experts in the community would give me their opinion on this and what they have found in regards to this. So now with over 400% chance of finding magical items, she catches no more than a new character without that I can tell. So I got curious and created a character and decked her out with as many slots and gems that I could afford (it took me a few hours to get it done). But looking into a few guides here recently to see if there was something I missed over the years or to see if anything new had been implemented, I saw some stating that gems to increase your chance to find magical items in your gear would help. From J18:30 - Fate/Grand Order ~7th Anniversary~ update, reaching the final ascension of a Limited Event-Reward, Friend-Point 4 ★ (SR) Servant (Including Mary Anning and Oda Nobukatsu) gives you 1 Rare Prism.Looking at most fishing guides (I use fishing for about half of my income minimum) I see the importance of not moving/missing while fishing. Some Limited time Extra Missions and login bonuses will also reward you a rare prism.Starting from the Christmas 2017 Event Re-Run all 6th copy or more of a free limited event servant will reward you a rare prism, automatically added into your Gift Box for each extra copy after clearing the event.Since the start of Dead Heat Summer Race!
